Malaysia Missing Flight 370 Plane Psychic Tarot Card Reading 3/12/14 by GreatRoland

Malaysia Missing Flight 370 Plane

Psychic Tarot Card Reading 3/12/14 by GreatRoland

After viewing this video, I did some 'research' into the deeper meaning of these cards. I do agree with this interpretation but from a different perspective. I appreciate the fact that this gentleman used the Tarot to support his intuitive position on it. I still think that we need to take a step further and think outside the box.
It's as if Psychics want to jump in the pool but they don't want to get wet. Pool full of water, I might add.
We have to get WET!!!! Our craft and genuineness depends on it. Whether we are believed or not is irrelevant. Many great seers were not believed initially. The current trends during their time was counter-intuitive, but as time passed their ideas became more and more believable, because with time comes change.
The Metaphysical World can be accessed through tools, such as the Tarot, the I Ching, Ifa, Metu Neter, and various other tools. These tools are best used to awaken the intuitive abilities that are already present in each of us. Learning how to develop the craft actually facilitates and stimulates the inner knowing. Part of that inner knowing, realizes that the perspective of one person can differ from the perspective of another. What is perspective? It is the vantage point from which we view a circumstance or situation.
I found this reading compelling in that it highlights some interesting points and gives us the cards so we can look them up ourselves. Below, you will find the meanings of the cards that I found while viewing this website..... Biddy Tarot: http://www.biddytarot.com/

  1. Page of Swords Tarot Card Meanings and Description
  2. The Page of Swords shows a young man standing in the midst of rough terrain with a sword held in both hands. The sky is filled with turbulent clouds and the trees in the background are obviously wind-blown, as is the young man’s hair. The waters behind the Page are rough and the general feeling of this card is one of tumultuous energy.

Upright Page of Swords Tarot Card Meanings
The Page of Swords reflects an abundance of energy, passion and enthusiasm. You cannot wait to get started on a new project or an idea, and to share that with others. You start all new projects, ventures and journeys with a huge amount of energy and excitement. The challenge, however, is whether you can keep it up! As with all Pages, the beginning always looks promising but something else is needed in order to maintain the pace.
The Page of Swords is almost like a green light to say, “Go for it”. There are always going to be challenges with whatever option you choose and not everyone is going to be happy with your choices but when it comes down to it, you need to follow your passions and go where your true energy lies. This Page encourages you to move forward and to get the wheels in motion, despite any challenges or setbacks that may potentially stand in the way.
This card shows you as a young and idealistic person, with lots of plans and ideas for the future. At this moment, you feel as though you could do almost anything. As a Page, you are just beginning to make your way in life, and it is important that you align with others who will not overwhelm you or stifle your direction and ideas. Instead, seek to align yourself with people who will nurture your ideas and will help you to manifest them in an organized manner. Choose a relationship that feels natural, with someone who will learn and grow along with you and give you a chance to develop your own personality and expression. You have an intelligent and sensitive nature, and you may suffer a lot if there is no outlet for your ideas and feelings.
The Page of Swords is as perceptive as the Queen of Swords. He has the ability to find out the truth regarding all matters by asking all the important questions. However, what makes him different to the Queen is that he lacks experience and maturity, so his questioning and probing may become annoying to others as he constantly asks “Why?” Nonetheless, he has both mental and physical agility and is full of anticipation, making him an avid learner and an excellent student.
The Page of Swords is also all about communication, information and ideas. This card is an indication that you need to appreciate and communicate ideas, information and theories. These ideas, information and theories may be your own or someone else’s. It does not really matter, so long as you are involved in talking, sharing and conversing with others about these ideas. You are always coming up with something new and then finding someone to share it with. You also have a way with words, being a good writer or speaker, and you are passionate about what you are doing. However, be careful that you do not engage in gossip. While this Page loves to talk and to be ‘in the know’, it is important that you use this talent to benefit others, rather than to create negativity. You may also want to be careful about what you say to whom, as you may be more prone to sharing confidential information about yourself. So, protect your privacy. And you may need to first ground your thoughts, before speaking, in order to ensure that you do not later regret what you have said.
The Page of Swords can also stand for a child or young-at-heart adult whose relationship to you involves truthfulness, the search for information and new ideas, or matters of the mind and intellect. You may have your moments with this Page, as the Swords often indicate a level of tension or conflict, and this bundle of energy may sometimes prove too much to handle. If you need to, give yourself a break from this youthful person, and return with fresh eyes. They do have a lot to share with you, and despite their inexperience, they may actually teach you something about yourself. You need to remain open to their high levels of energy and enthusiasm to learn more about the world. As a child, the Page of Swords encourages you to have fun with mental activities of all kinds, including learning, exploring, and researching. Enjoy the world of thought your mind can open to you.
The downside of the Page of Swords is the turbulent nature of intellectual discovery and inspiration unchecked by experience or wisdom. This Page seems to be either on the defensive, protecting his ideas, or on the offensive, looking for some victim of the double-edged sword of his mind. Perhaps he is seeking a confrontation in the intellectual sense or has the desire to prove himself mentally superior to others. The trouble is that he does not yet have the maturity to express himself in a way that is always constructive, and may come across as oppositional or just too ‘in your face’.

  1. Tower Tarot Card Meanings and Description
  2. The Tower shows a tall tower pitched atop a craggy mountain. Lightning strikes and flames burst from the building’s windows. People are seen to be leaping from the tower in desperation, wanting to flee such destruction and turmoil. The Tower signifies darkness and destruction on a physical scale, as opposed to a spiritual scale. The Tower itself represents ambitions built on false premises. The lightning bolt breaks down existing forms in order to make room for new ones. It represents a sudden, momentary glimpse of truth, a flash of inspiration that breaks down structures of ignorance and false reasoning. Notice the lightning bolt is oriented left to right (from the perspective of the card), from heaven to earth, and from Spirit to material. The falling figures correspond to the chained prisoners in the Devil card. They fall headfirst, because the sudden influx of spiritual consciousness represented by the lightning flash completely upsets all our old notions about the relations between subconsciousness and self-consciousness. The flames are actually the Hebrew yods. There are 22 flames, representing the 22 Major Arcana. The gray clouds are the clouds of misfortune that rain on everyone indiscriminately. The ruling planet of this card is Mars.

    Upright Tower Tarot Card Meanings
How many times have you sat safely within the narrow confines of your life, comfortable in your current thoughts, beliefs and expectations? Then, out of the blue, something ‘shocking’ happens that completely destroys your picture of peace and harmony. It blows your mind or throws you for a loop. There is a sudden realisation that your comfort was based on an inadequate foundation of false thought, belief and action. This is a humbling, frightening but necessary experience.
When you see the Tower in a reading, you may feel afraid, shaken and insecure. It is a time of great turmoil and destruction as you seek to understand how you could have been so wrong, so naive, or so blind about a particularly situation. And now, what will you do and how will you manage in the face of this shocking truth? You may be experiencing sleepless nights, depression, grief, anger and confrontation. These are normal reactions to major changes in your outer and inner worlds.
A Tower experience is any experience that shakes the foundation of your current sense of security and/or forces you to question your strongly-held beliefs, perceptions, attitudes and behaviours. It may be a divorce, death of a loved one, financial failure, health problems or job loss, or any event that penetrates to the core of your inner being, affecting you spiritually, mentally and physically. It is often descriptive of a major upheaval, disruption, emergency or crisis, and is likely to bring chaos in the aftermath of such an event.
If the Tower appears in your reading, ask yourself, “What structures in my life are breaking up?” No doubt you will already be very aware of where there is turmoil and destruction but sometimes it can be on a more subtle or subconscious level.
The most important aspect of the Tower is that with any destruction there comes creation. Thus, the Tower card represents an awakening and is about inspiration, freedom, reality and the release from bondage. It is a truth and honesty card that comes as a bolt of lightning to you through a shocking and impactful life event. It represents a necessary experience that forces you to get out of your comfort zone and to grow beyond your present level. The sudden destruction of the Tower represents the immediacy of change, and the often disorienting effects of that change. Once you hit rock bottom the choice is yours. You can revert to the self-defeating, restrictive Devil, or reach for the transformational and inspirational Star. When you begin to reach for the Star, you will come to realise that your true security and strength lies within yourself and your relationship with the Universe, and not in some false belief system or artificially-created world. Following a Tower experience, you can rest assured that you will grow stronger, wiser and more serene as you begin to develop a completely new perspective on life that you did not even know existed. These moments in time are necessary for spiritual growth and enlightenment. Truth and honesty will bring about a positive change, even if you must experience pain and anxiety throughout the process.
The Tower also represents the inner and outer structures that you have built. These structures represent your personal defences, defences that create a more socially acceptable ‘you’ by hiding your true, inner thoughts and feelings. It is like laughing politely when your boss tells a joke, or, on a deeper level, disguising your sexual feelings, particularly if you feel that they are socially inappropriate. In times of great pressure and stress, these structures will be tested and are at risk of shattering, finally revealing your true inner self to those around you. So, you need to be very careful how much of yourself you attempt to hide, knowing that one day, all will be revealed.
The Tower therefore asks you to break down the structures that you have surrounded yourself with. This can be a painful and difficult process if you resist against the external forces that are pushing you to reveal more of yourself. Breaking through this pretence can cause a great deal of anguish but remember that the Tower will fall, whether you like it or not, because you have reached your limits in this area and can no longer live with it.
Similarly, the Tower can signify your ego and the illusion of considering yourself to be superior to others. When the Tower of ego, deception and illusion is destroyed, you are free to face truth and reality without the trappings of false attachments. Are you undergoing a major shift in consciousness? Are you beginning to see things in a new way? Embrace the opportunity to accept change and move forward into a more positive psychological state, where personal freedom is the rule.

  1. Ten of Pentacles Tarot Card Meanings and Description
  2. The Ten of Pentacles is a card of culmination and final fulfilment. The card shows an aged, wise man sitting comfortably just outside an archway leading into a town. He is surrounded by his family and his dogs and wears a rich robe decorated with images of grapevines, crescent moons, and other symbols. Behind the laughing couple under the arch, a young boy reaches playfully to pet one of the dogs. This card is a symbol of financial security, accomplishment, and comfort. The patriarch is able to rest and enjoy the fruits of his labours in retirement while he looks on at the lives of his children and grandchildren. This is a man who has accomplished a great deal during his life and is now able to rest in the satisfaction of knowing that what he has created will provide value and joy to others, even when he is gone.

Upright Ten of Pentacles Tarot Card Meanings
As a Ten, the Ten of Pentacles is such a great sign that despite challenges and setbacks along the way, you will finally reach a point of completion and accomplishment in your journey. This sense of accomplishment is likely to be as a result of an improved career path, more solid financial reserves, a stable home environment and a possible committed and long-term relationship. This is one of those cards that shows that everything will eventually come together in a wonderful way and you will feel highly successful and proud of everything you have achieved. You will also feel compelled to share this success with others to ensure that they are also well cared for.
This card reminds me of the wealthy retired father figure who can now finally relax and enjoy his family and his home. He has worked incredibly hard over his lifetime in order to build up wealth, prosperity and security. He now has the financial reserves to share with his family to ensure that they are well supported now and in the future, which in turn leaves him feeling happy and content with his ability to ‘provide’.
With the focus on the family, you may be more inclined to direct a lot of your energy into ensuring that your family has everything that they need, from finances, to security and a good home life. You want to ensure that your children and family will always have everything they need.
The Ten of Pentacles shows how family, or even extended family, is incredibly important. It represents tradition, being a part of something bigger and realising that the blood of your ancestors runs through your veins. It signifies that you are part of a long chain of individuals who subsequently creates a family, a ‘tribe’ and a society. It provides structure where you can sit safely and comfortably, knowing that you are a part of history and heritage.
The Ten of Pentacles is also a card of affluence and wealth. You are blessed with material abundance and are now free from any sort of money troubles. You feel financially secure and you are fortunate enough to have luck and success on your side to ensure your financial reserves are high.
This card reflects permanence and creating a lasting foundation for future success. It is a card of commitment to a sustainable future, taking into consideration not just the short-term benefits of a particular venture but also the long-term benefits. It is about investing in the long-term and knowing that you need a consistent approach in order to achieve success that will last the test of time.

  1. Star Tarot Card Meanings and Description
  2. The Star card shows a naked woman kneeling at the edge of a small pool. The woman holds two containers of water. She pours the water out to nourish the earth and to continue the cycle of fertility, represented by the lush greenery around her. The other container pours the water onto dry land in five rivulets, representing the five senses. The woman has one foot on the ground, representing her practical abilities and good common sense, and the other foot in the water, representing her intuition and inner resources, and listening to her inner voice. Behind her, shines one large star and seven smaller stars, representing your chakras. This represents a need to open your chakras and cleanse your aura. Notice all the stars have eight points. The Star is associated with the number 17, which equals 8 (1+7=8). Eight is Strength, the quality needed to accept your faults and love yourself in spite of them. The bird in the tree in the background is the sacred ibis of thought, roosting in the tree of the mind. The astrological sign of the Star is Aquarius.

    Upright Star Tarot Card Meanings
The Star Tarot card brings renewed hope and faith and a sense that you are truly blessed by the Universe at this time. Courage, fulfilment, and inspiration are in your life. You are entering a loving phase in your life, filled with calm energy, mental stability and deeper understanding of both yourself and others around you. This card is saying to you that, over the long-term, you should have faith and trust in the Universe. A better future is waiting for you but in order to reach it you must trust that it is indeed possible.
As it follows the Tower, the meaning of the Star Tarot card suggests that you have endured life’s challenges and have been through a difficult time but you are now open to healing and transformation. Your ability to let go of damaging memories has been strengthened by contact with your true self through these difficult times. Hatred, envy, bitterness, and revenge have burned themselves out and no longer shadow your life or get in the way of your potential for future happiness. You are now also able to forgive and forget so that you can embrace new opportunities.
The Star card is therefore an important card for personal transformation. When the Star appears in a Tarot reading, be open to new ideas and growth. Listen to the still small voice within. You have a strong desire now to find or rediscover a sense of meaning, inspiration, or purpose in your life. You are making some significant changes in your life, transforming yourself from the old you to the new you, and in doing this you are bringing about a fresh perspective on life. You may also be feeling that you are finally honouring the person who you truly are or want to be, rather than simply following a routine that has little meaning to you. There is a deeper spiritual journey that you are going through which is all about bringing greater meaning and purpose into your life and renewing your inner energy. You hope your future will be better than your past. This card is the call of destiny that motivates you or compels you to go on. Your desire is not in vain as you will ultimately find what you are yearning for.
In a Tarot reading, the Star brings renewed self-esteem and increased trust in yourself. You will become aware of how successful and respected you are. You may attain a goal that brings lasting happiness and your reputation may be enhanced. The Star Tarot card is particularly encouraging when you have come through a period of opposition, negative feedback or setbacks that have previously damaged your self-esteem. The Star encourages you to have faith in yourself and to believe in yourself.
The Star Tarot card also indicates a generous spirit. You want to give or share your wealth with others to help transform their own lives. You have an open heart and you now want to give back the blessings you have already received so that others may benefit.
Does this card keep reappearing in your Tarot readings? Perhaps the Universe is trying to tell you something.

Indeed this is a work in progress, with many nuances that can be explored.

Psychic Asked To Weigh In On Missing Plane is informed by the voices in her "witchy woo land"

franz morhart Published on Mar 21, 2014DescriptionThe endless coverage on CNN (Clearly Not News) about the missing Malaysian plane is giving them a ratings boost — from a distant third place to a distant second place — so they are milking it for all it's worth. On Thursday night, HLN guest host Lynn Berry hepled CNN's sister network finally hit the low point in the coverage so far and also proved she didn't have a single ounce of human decency.
To top Don Lemon speculating about supernatural forces and black holes, Lyn Berry invited psychic Lisa Williams to discuss what she think may have been the fate of the lost airliner and the 239 souls that were on board that plane. First, Williams heconfessed. "I think any psychic who has hard, concrete evidence can't do their job correctly." But then she claimed hat she was just informed by the voices in her "witchy woo land" that the mystery behind the plane's disappearance will be finally resolved "within the next three weeks."
Right. And if I were to tape a paintbrush to a dog's ass and feed him chocolate, he wwoul draw a map showing exactly where that plane went down...Honest.

One of the biggest mistakes psychics make is to make predictions. There are too many timelines, too many probabilities and too many conflicting stories.

Everything is energy. If the collective conscious moves towards a certain agenda, it will manifest as an impression in the metaphysical world. Psychics must come to grips with this or they will continually discredit themselves and others as well. There is no need to give "hard" evidence as the Metaphysical world is not "hard-concrete-material" and like air there will be shifting of perspectives. The collective conscious wishes that the plane be found, they have entered their wish into the cosmic record, this wish is perceived by the Psychics/Metaphysicians and an image is given.

Psychics/Metaphysicians who understand this will decline to "prove" anything to anyone who demands that proof be given on their terms, that is physical and material terms. Once you limit your awareness to what is possible in the known physical world, you limit the outer realms and remain constricted by material physicality.

It is ironic to see human beings demand such "proof positive" when the same humans believe in enumerable unseen things from religious belief systems to a diagnosis given by a doctor who is "practicing" medicine. Human beings have emotions that cannot be measured with instruments. They simply are. In fact, psychologist and psychiatrists alike have huge diagnostic manuals that determine what pathology would emit a certain behavior, a behavior that is derived from a series of experiences and emotions that are imperceptible or immeasurable in a science laboratory.

When one enters the Metaphysical world to get some information on a particular topic, it would behoove them to keep in mind that "all" things are possible and are happening due to the fact that thoughts are things. If a Psychic is attempting to give "hard" evidence to those who do not understand the dynamics of the Metaphysical world, then they may do well by offering the querent a psychic tool for investigation such as the tarot, the I Ching, Astrology, etc. All of which can be challenged based on interpretation, but they offer the querent the option of drawing their own conclusions.

Being active in the Metaphysical Realm requires time, attention and commitment. It also requires that one releases one's hold on physical gratification and validation. This is a craft, like any other that needs to be developed and cultivated over many years in this 3d realm, as this 3d realm is suspicious and will filter and overshadow anything that comes in from the unseen realms.

Black-ish Trailer, Would You Watch This Series? Yes/No Why?

Black-ish Trailer, Would You Watch this? Yes/No Why?

Watch First Full Trailer For 'Black-ish' Starring Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Laurence Fishburne

http://blogs.indiewire.com/shadowandact/watch-teaser-for-black-ish-starring-anthony-anderson-tracee-ellis-ross-laurence-fishburne

I laughed at the trailer. I can also relate. I can relate to the father. I went to catholic school grade school and high school, and off to an all girls' college who was seeking to reach a quota for federal funding and PR. My mother was strong about being black in America, but  she did not do it to the point of identifying with her culture from Africa, or not even identifying with African American culture. She did it because it had become a popular thing to do. We are talking about the 60's.

Angela Davis
My mom was one of the first people I knew to have an Afro hairstyle. But again, not for the cultural aspect of it, but because it was popular. She had fried our hair up until that point. In fact, she fried the hair of other friends in the community we lived in. I can still remember that smell of frying hair.

She didn't talk about black power, or to be young gifted and black, nor did she wear a dashiki, or any other African garb. She wasn't a nationalist, socialist, communist or a fan of Angela Davis. She was always changing her hairstyle so I guess, it was just a change of hairstyle that she was after. And let me not forget, my mother was a rebel, in her own right, and since wearing an Afro meant you were rebelling against the system, well she did it, just to be rebellious.
Left, me with my Afro @graduation, 1969

At the time, I did not see it as rebellion. I thought she was expressing her strong sentiment about her African heritage. Quite frankly, I took that literally and want one myself, just like mom so I could identify with her and possibly make her happy one day????? Like I said, I can relate to this story line.

We grew up in North Philadelphia, a part of Philadelphia, where we were constantly being reminded of how it used to be all white years ago and how after the "blacks" moved in the property value and neighborhood went down, down, down. There was an elder gentleman who had a shoe shine stand on the corner of 29th & Dauphin Streets... He would hire young boys in the area to help him shine shoes. That would be his story, whenever you walked by you would hear him talk about all the white folks that use to live in the area, and now look at it. Well, the area had become all black. Black business, black stores, black churches, black dentist, black doctor, black shoe repair man, black milk man, black post man. In fact, the entire area was "black" except for the insurance man who visited homes on Saturday morning, the landlords, and the man who owned the fish store. Well, I must admit that the school, though full of black people, only had white priests, and nuns... In fact, though I wanted to grow up and be the only black nun I knew, I doubted that I would NOT be the only Black nun in the entire world!! Ha, I found another in college years later.

Somehow, I managed to truly identify with my African culture. I was inclined towards African dance, and
Me @ African Dance Performance, 1968
African fabrics, and while I didn't have access to African fabrics during those days, I managed to create something from some fabrics that looked African, at least to me. I doubt that my emphasis on African culture would have happened had it not been for my perception that my mother was into it.

When I went to college, there were 7 African Americans on campus of 1500 students. My mother told me to go to that college. She knew about racism. I knew she knew, though it was not spoken aloud, except the little innuendos that were said when we shopped in a store that was not black owned. I would watch my mother transform and speak "proper" English so that she could impress the cashier. She would do that on the phone too, when she was making important business calls. It was funny to watch her transformation, but we knew deep inside, she wanted to appear educated and talking like we did in the house among ourselves, friends and family, did not make us appear educated. So again, I can relate.

My mother's agenda for encouraging me to go to an all white, catholic girls college was simple. "You are a fly in a bowl of milk. They will not, not teach their own, simply because you are there." We knew what that meant on so many levels. I would definitely get a good education because they give their own a good education. I may miss my "black" friends, but that's no problem, I can always come home on school breaks to be with them, and... after college, I will still be "black in America". Yeah, I can relate. Plus, I really wouldhn't have too much trouble getting along there, my high school was 75% white. It wasn't too popular for African Americans to be Catholic during those days. Those of us who went to Catholic School were often teased and called "stuck-up" mainly because Catholic school was not free, like public school, and if your family could afford Catholic school, you must have had some money. At least enough to put you in a class slightly upper than the rest of the neighborhood folks. This perception was hard to comprehend, since we lived in the same neighborhood as everyone else, but Catholic education was considered elite during those days. It was brutal, but that's a topic for another blog.

In 1969, I went to Marywood College, in Scranton, PA. I have to admit it was a culture shock. Grass, trees,
Marywood University
mountains and open spaces????? Full meals cooked 3X's a day??? Food I had never seen eaten before. White people doing the laundry, cutting the grass, picking up the trash and serving us meals in the Dining Hall?? Yeah that was a culture shock for certain. I had to get used to that. In fact, when they hired ONE African american Service Staff person, they called me in to ask, "How should we treat her?" I was baffled by the question. We never wondered how we should treat white people, what was the problem? My response may have been a bit abrupt but I said, "Treat her like a human being, like you treat everyone else around here." Not quite the answer she expected, but I was not going to give her a crash course on race relations because they decided to hire ONE Black person as personnel. I wondered who she asked when she got the 7 black students to come to her college.

I am not sure if it was the times, the protests or my desire to affirm my identity, but after a while I had to do
something. I started to lose myself, the way I spoke changed. I began to speak "proper, just like my mom. I did not like that one bit, and I made a concerted effort to reclaim my identity by speaking Ebonics (Black English). Of course I did not use it in my research, term papers and tests, but out of the class, I had to, it was all I had to hold on to. My roommate made innocent fun of me, she would mimic my saying "Maf" and Baf" "You're going to Maf class and you gonna take a baf." She was wonderful and very very cool, we would laugh together, and her mother made excellent brownies, but I digress. After a while I found myself speaking Ebonics on purpose, I was getting lost in the sauce.

One day, Arthur Hall Afro-American Dance Ensemble came to Scranton! What a shot in the arm that was for me. I seemed to remember that I was African, Black and that I could hold on to my identity and still attend an all white college. I totally embraced this concept and started a black power movement on campus. I started a Black Student Union. BOSS, Black Organization of Students in the Struggle, by now there were 9 of us. We represented the Macrocosm, as every single type of "us" was there.
Arthur Hall Afro-American Dance Ensemble

I read "Black Muslims in America", "The Souls of Black Folks", "Black Cargoes" "The Outsider", "Black Rage"  Nikki Giovanni and several other books about Black Americans that I found, interestingly in the College Library. Imagine that!

I started wearing the "Black Power" pins and pendants, red, black and green hat and belts, a khaki jacket and walked around campus like I was a genuine black panther. My English Professor, called me a Pink Panther.... I didn't take it to mean she was racist or demeaning. Besides, when I found out what the Black Panthers were really about I knew what she meant.

Nevertheless, I became a spokesperson for everything black. Being the most outspoken and outgoing of all the other Black Students on campus, it fell upon me to explain it all to them. There I was in the middle of conversations about being black in America. I would discuss what growing up was like for me in my neighborhood, where we never used the term impoverished, deprived or ghetto. We were resourceful and creative, making a way of no way, making a dollar out of 15cents.

I was in the middle of discussion attempting to explain to folks that Flip Wilson, WAS NOT YOUR AVERAGE BLACK MAN IN AMERICA, when that is all they knew. I was in the middle of discussion with folks who had never seen an Black person up close and were extremely curious as to why my hair grew up and out instead of down. I became the First African American Freshman Class President! Why?? Because I stood out, imagine that, and they didn't know each other or who to vote for, so why not our token black girl.

I was in the middle of my own desperation along with a Black Classmate, who could tolerate being in that all white environment anymore!!! So one night, we made flyers and put them under the doors of the Nuns who lived in the dorms with us, along with other adult staff who lived in the dorms with us. What did our signs say?
BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL     POWER TO THE PEOPLE      BLACK POWER
We did that, it was a desperate attempt to retain, reclaim, reaffirm and identify with our heritage, a heritage we knew so little about, but one we felt the need to hold onto at all costs. So yes, I can relate.

Baba Tunde Olatunji-Drums of Passion
We knew we were black in a bowl of milk, and that racism was alive and well, no matter how much those around us pretended it wasn't. We were in the middle of the Civil Rights movement, they had just raided the Black Panthers in Philadelphia, strip them naked, and posted that on the front of Newsweek. They were fire bombing, lynching and terrorizing black folks in the south. They had just opened the restaurants for black folks to come to along with white patrons. They had just killed Dr. Martin Luther King! Yeah, we were certainly aware of the racism but we knew little about our African Culture. And for certain, the administration of the school knew little as well, so when they asked me to do an African Dance for their World Cultures Course, they never knew I was making those steps up and dancing to Baba Tunde Olatunji Drums of Passion. I may have been a fly in a bowl of milk, but I never lost my wings, or my desire to fly.

I remember my trips home, and how different I felt being among African Americans in my familiar environment than I did on campus. Every trip home required a major adjustment.

Me. 1969 Freshman in College
I mentioned the Microcosm of the Macrocosm... truly we were. Each one of us represent a different experience being in the African Diaspora. During my stay there I manage to find out where each of these young ladies' head were. Again, the Microcosm of the Macrocosm. We are as varient in our expression in the African diaspora as we are in our skin color. Our identities span the gamut of Black Nationalism to Integration.
How did we each experience our own bowl of milk??
1.  Me (Freshman) - I have already explained my role.
2.  KG (Freshman) - from South Philadelphia and sincerely not interested in being in this bowl of milk. She looked forward to leaving next semester and made no bones about wanting to get out!! She didn't hate white people she just did not want to live anywhere near them.
3.  BJ (Freshman) - she came from Northfolk, VA... there was no question in her mind about her identity or racism, she had experienced it first hand, and did not trust a single white person. She was a deep thinker, so deep she spent much of her time being depressed. She also wanted to leave.
4.  CF (Sophomore) - who had completely assimilated into her environment, she came there with several white friends and had no problem continuing to talk their talk and relate with them as her best of friends. She did have an Afro though which showed on some levels that she hadn't completely assimilated, but was basically taking the path of least resistance. If you can't beat em, you might as well join em.
5.  DS (Sophomore) - in a dark room, it would be hard to tell where she came from, or whether she was white or black. There was no indication in her voice that she was anything but a white girl who happened to have black (darkest out of all of us) skin. She was not interested in joining anything that was about Black, for Black, by Black or with Black. She was a person, a human being and she did not relate to the skin she was in at all.
6.  VS (Sophomore) She was from the Virgin Islands and due to the color of her skin, she was considered white. Her family was elite and well off. That she would come to the US for an education had her as upper class. She was completely intolerant and disdainful of all that Black stuff, and told me clearly, she considered herself white, as she was considered white where she lived.
7.  Novice (Senior) She was so intriguing to me, a black nun. What made her pursue it and stick to it to the point that after Senior year she would complete her training and be a real Nun. I later learned that the IHM order of nuns, had more African Americans in it than any other. And since I was taught by the Sisters of St. Joseph, I had no idea. She was sweet and cordial and very much into being a nun. Her main focus was on continuing her training and completing her journey. She was definitely not going to join BOSS!
Next Semester, lost two students and gained 4 black students, one female and one male in the School of Social Work and one Freshman and one Sophomore.
8.  DC (Freshman) came from Philadelphia, and she also attended Catholic High School, which at that time were majority White students there. She did not seem to have any trouble getting along with the other students but she was extremely homesick. She cried every night for the first semester it seemed, I could hear her in the hallway as I passed her room. She identified with me to the point of at least being able to have someone familiar to cling to. Her position was not political or religious, she just wanted to get through it all.
9.  BS (Sophomore) came from a family that had already assimilated. Nice car, nice, house, 2.5 children, two car garage, father a professional and recognized by the White Professional World, mother an educator who had taken time from her career to raise her children. They were very color struck in my estimation as I remember it being said that she was not allowed to bring anyone home darker than her. In fact, I could hardly tell if she was black or white due to the paleness of her skin and the way she blended. And of course she would not join BOSS. She did wear a curly Afro which she flattened on the weekends when she returned home. No way on God's green earth would her parents allow her to wear an Afro!!! And since at that time, the Afro was our clarion call to arms, anyone without one was certainly not part of the struggle.
10.  JR (School of Social Work).. was from Philadelphia as well. She was older and more refined. She was more accepting of each of us being so different from one another and would often function as a mediator when we couldn't come to terms with our differences. Primarily, I had become emboldened as I had never really learned about the Transatlantic Slave trade, or much else about African history predating Slavery. . It seemed there was none, well especially not in an inner city Catholic School. And here I am on an all white college campus, learning about these things and so much more.
My mom used to remark how they learned about what Black people did in her school. She lived in Virginia and the educational system was actually better than in the Northern City. She was quite surprised that we were not taught Black history as she was.
11.  RH (School of Social Work) was a male student from Harrisburg. It quickly became clear that he was going to be the most sought after Black "man" on campus. The numbers themselves showed the imbalance. He was the only male student on campus as the School of Social Work had opened to male students while the undergraduate school was not. Coming from Harrisburg he had some experience interacting with White folks, being the only black man on campus, he also became the star of every show, that is, those white women who were not adverse to interracial relationships sought him out and so did I.
When I think about it, I really didn't have any competition with the Black women on campus, because none of them were really interested in him. It was more of "he is the only one and that's all you got"??? But for some reason, I was interested in him and attempted to get him to join our organization to no avail, he was content, just being the only male student on campus. I think he shared mutual interest but I got the impression that he preferred white girls. Thus coming up from the rear is another aspect of the African diaspora, a black man who prefers dating white women.

By my junior year, two other black female students had come to Marywood. I won't describe how they presented except to say that one was totally blind, and the other was also from Philadelphia, and the same high school I attended.

My identity crisis came to a head during my junior year. I became a Black Muslim. It was a radical change that made me feel completely uncomfortable on campus. I made the decision to quit college and return to Philadelphia and get married. Another long story.

I would like to note that today, Marywood College is now Marywood University and is coed and has Black folks in numbers. Something that I would have never imagined. I returned there a few years ago with my group, the "Voices Of Africa" Choral & Percussion Ensemble, and to my surprise there were Africans there from the continent!!! Along with the Nun who asked me to do an African dance for her World Cultures Course! Now I don't know if I opened the door for that or if it is just a sign of the times or maybe a bit of both, but I was floored to find them there, along with African Americans functioning as administrative staff. The black population during my time there was a little over 300 and now they have staff members of color.

From Negro, to Black, to Afro-American, to African-American to African descendant... we have continuously been trying to identify ourselves in a world that is foreign to us, and no matter how much we assimilate, in a world (not just a nation) that has taken up the discourse about the superiority of a race based on skin color... it is quite evident that there will be several attributions made by each of us. These attributes will be affected by the way we are raised, along with how we process our reality.

So yes, I may watch this show from time to time, I don't have a TV so I will see if it comes on the internet. But again, my own experience, helps me to relate and gives me some insight to the various challenges we face, trying to find our identity in a society that has stripped us of it, and caused us to look upon our heritage with disdain.

The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield

The Celestine Prophecy
by James Redfield
Warner Books, 1993
Outlined by Laura Bryannan

First insight

  • A reconsideration of the inherent mystery that surrounds our individual lives on this planet.
  • We experience mysterious coincidences which show us that there is another side of life we have yet to discover--some other process operating behind the scenes.
  • A world transformation is taking place now because the number of individuals conscious of such coincidences is growing dramatically.
  • Once we reach a "critical mass" of such individuals, the culture will begin to take these coincidental experiences seriously, and we will wonder, in mass, what mysterious process underlies human life on this planet.

Second insight

  • History is not just the evolution of technology; it is the evolution of thought.
  • By understanding the reality of the people who came before us (what they felt and thought) we can see why we look at the world the way we do, and what our contribution is toward further progress. The world is about to identify a particular preoccupation that developed during the later half of this millennium (the Modern Age).
    1. The Middle Ages (1000 BCE): the reality of this time was defined by the Christian Church.
      • The world the church described as real is, above all, spiritual.
      • Life was defined as having one solitary purpose: to win or lose salvation.
      • Churchmen were there to interpret the scriptures and tell you whethe you are in accordance with God or Satan; if you followed their advice, you were assured a rewarding afterlife.
      • Every aspect of the Medieval world is defined in other-worldly terms.
      • All phenomena of life is defined either as the will of God or as the malice of the devil.
      • All people took for granted that the world operated solely by spiritual means.
    2. Fourteenth-Fifteenth centuries: the previous world view begins to fall apart.
      • Improprieties on the part of the churchmen cause rebellion; Martin Luther calls for a complete break from papal Christianity.
      • The men who defined reality for centuries lose their credibility.
      • The clear consensus about the nature of the universe and humankind's purpose here collapses.
      • Scientific discoveries proved that the realities about our world as maintained by the Church were incorrect: the Earth is not the center of the universe, for ex.
      • All ideas about the world taken for granted now need new definition, especially the nature of God and our relationship to God.
    3. Modern Age: a growing democratic spirit and a mass distrust of papal and royal authority.
      • Definitions of the universe based on speculation or scriptural faith are no longer automatically accepted.
      • To avoid some new group stepping in to control reality as the churchmen did, a method of consensus-building (the scientific method: testing an idea about how the universe works, arriving afterward at some conclusion, and then offering this conclusion to others to see if they agree) was developed.
      • Explorers were sent out to the world, armed with the scientific method, to find out how it works and what it means that we find ourselves alive here.
      • We sent these explorers out to bring back a complete explanation of our existence, but because of the complexity of the universe they weren't able to return right away.
  • When the scientific method couldn't bring back a new picture of God and of mankind's purpose on the planet, the lack of certainty and meaning affected Western culture deeply.
    1. We needed something else to do until our questions were answered.
    2. We shook off our feeling of being lost by taking matters into our own hands, by focusing on conquering the Earth and using its resources to better our situation.
    3. This focus became a preoccupation. We lost ourselves in creating a secular society, and economic security, to replace the spiritual one we lost.
    4. The question of why we were alive, of what was going on here spiritually, was slowly pushed aside and repressed altogether.
    5. We've forgotten that we still don't know what we're surviving for.
  • It is time now to wake up from this preoccupation and reconsider our original question: What's behind life on this planet? Why are we really here?

Third insight

  • A new understanding of the physical world: humans will learn to perceive what was formerly an invisible type of energy.
  • The basic stuff of the universe, at its core, is a kind of pure energy that is malleable to human intention and expectation in a way that defies our old mechanistic model of the universe--as though our expectation itself causes our energy to flow out into the world and affect other energy systems.
  • Human perception of this energy first begins with a heightened sensitivity to beauty.
    1. The perception of beauty is a kind of barometer telling each of us how close we are to actually perceiving the energy.
    2. When something strikes us as beautiful, it displays more presence and sharpness of shape and vividness of color. It stands out. It shines. It seems almost iridescent compared to the dullness of other objects less attractive.
    3. The next level of perception is to see an energy field hovering about everything.
  • Plants which have the most direct conscious human attention are more potent and grow faster than plants which do not get conscious attention.
    1. Plants grown in this way, when ingested, increase the body's efficiency dramatically.
  • Two periods of the day most conducive to seeing energy fields: sunrise and sunset. How to begin:
    1. Touch the tips of index fingers together, with blue sky in background.
    2. Separate the tips about an inch and look at the area directly between them.
    3. Take eyes out of focus a bit and move the tips closer, then apart.
  • Once humans learn to observe energy fields, our understanding of the physical universe will quickly transform.
  • We would become conscious that certain localities radiate more energy than others, the highest radiation coming from old natural environments, especially forests

Fourth insight

  • Eventually humans will see the universe as comprised of one dynamic energy, an energy that can sustain us and respond to our expectations.
    1. We have been disconnected from the larger source of this energy; we have cut ourselves off and so have felt weak, insecure and lacking.
    2. In the face of this deficit, humans have always sought to increase our personal energy in the only manner we have known: by seeking to psychologically steal it from others--an unconscious competition that underlies all human conflict in the world.
  • When a person engages another in a conversation, one of two things can happen: that person can come away feeling stronger or weaker.
    1. We prepare ourselves to say whatever we must in order to prevail in the conversation.
    2. Each of us seeks to find some way to control and thus remain on top in the encounter.
    3. If we are successful, if our viewpoint prevails, then rather than feel weak, we receive a psychological boost.
  • When we control another human being we receive their energy. We fill up at the other's expense and the filling up is what motivates us. Most people are in a constant hunt for someone else's energy.

    Fifth insight

    • Humans must learn to gain energy from the universal source, not other humans.
      1. Food is the first way of gaining energy, but in order to totally absorb energy in food, the food must be appreciated, savored.
      2. Taste is the doorway; you must appreciate taste; this is the reason for prayer before eating--to make eating a holy experience--so the energy from the food can enter your body.
      3. After personal energy is increased through conscious eating, you become more sensitive to energy in all things, and then you learn to take this energy into yourself without eating.
      4. To be open to universal energy, you have to connect--to use your sense of appreciation, as in seeing auras--but you take this one step further so that you get the sensation of being filled up.
      5. When you successfully appreciate something, you allow the love that underlies all to enter you.
      6. When you appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of things you receive energy. When you get to a level where you feel love, then you can send the energy back just by willing it so.
    • Even though an alternative source of energy exists, we really can't stay connected with it until we come to grips with the particular method that we, as individuals, use in our controlling, and stop doing it--because whenever we fall back into this habit, we get disconnected from the source.
      1. This habit is always unconscious at first; the key to letting it go is to bring it fully into consciousness.
      2. This is done by seeing that our particular style of controlling others is one we learned in childhood to get attention, to get the energy moving our way.
      3. Our parents and siblings operated in a drama themselves, trying to pull energy out of us as children. We had to have a strategy to win energy back.
      4. This style is something we repeat over and over again. It's called our unconscious control drama.
      5. Each person must reinterpret their family experience from a spiritual point of view, and discover who they really are. Once we do this, we can go past these control dramas and see what is really happening.
    • General control drama styles. Everyone manipulates for energy either aggressively--directly forcing people to pay attention to them, or passively--playing on people's sympathy or curiosity to gain attention.
      1. Aloof: in order to get energy coming your way, you withdraw and look mysterious and secretive. You hope that someone will be pulled into this drama and try to figure out what's going on with you. When someone does, you remain vague, forcing them to struggle, dig and try to discern your true feelings. As they do so, they give you their full attention and that sends their energy to you. The longer you can keep them interested and mystified, the more energy you receive.
      2. Interrogator: sets up a drama of asking questions and probing into another person's world with the specific purpose of finding something wrong. Once they do, they criticize this aspect of the other's life. If this strategy succeeds, the person being criticized is pulled into the drama. They find themselves becoming self-conscious around the interrogator and paying attention to what the interrogator is doing and thinking about, so as not to do something wrong the the interrogator would notice. This psychic deference gives the interrogator the energy he desires. Interrogators pull you off your own path and drain your energy because you judge yourself by what they might be thinking.
      3. Intimidator: someone who threatens you, either verbally or physically. You are forced, for fear of something bad happening to you, to pay attention to them and so to give him energy. This is the most aggressive kind of drama.
      4. Poor Me: someone who tells you all the horrible things that are already happening to them, implying perhaps that you are responsible, and that, if you refuse to help, these horrible things are going to continue. Someone who makes you feel guilty when you're in their presence, even though you know there is no reason to feel that way. Everything they say and do puts you in a place where you have to defend against the idea the you're not doing enough for them.
    • People use more than one drama in different circumstances, but most of us have one dominant control drama that we tend to repeat, depending on which one worked well of the members of our early family. A person goes to whatever extreme necessary to get attention energy in their family.
      1. Interrogator parents tend to create aloof children. When someone continually asks you questions, only to find something wrong with your answers, you must get vague and distant, to try to say things that will get their attention, but not reveal enough to give them something to criticize.
      2. Intimidators tend to create poor me children (or another intimidator). If someone is draining your energy by threatening you with physical, mental or emotional violence, being aloof doesn't work; you can't get them to give you energy by playing coy; you are forced to become more passive, and guilt-trip them about the harm they are doing. If this doesn't work, then, as a child you endure until you are big enough to explode against the violence and fight aggression with aggression.
      3. Aloof parents tend to create interrogator children. If you were a child and your family members were either not there or ignored you, playing aloof would not get their attention. You would have to resort to probing and prying and finally finding something wrong in these aloof people in order to force attention and energy.
    • To find your true self you must go back to your family experience and review what happened. Once we become conscious of our control drama, we can focus on the higher truth of our family that lies beyond the energy conflict. Once we find this truth, it will tell us who we are, the path we are on, what we are doing.
      1. Look past the energy competition that existed in your family and search for the real reason you were there.
      2. Ask yourself the question, "Why was I born to this particular family? What might have been the purpose for that?"
      3. Ask yourself what each of your parents stood for. Each parent will try to claim your allegiance to their particular point of view. Every human being, whether they are conscious of it or not, illustrates with their lives how he or she thinks a human being is supposed to live.
      4. Each of us must try to discover what our parents taught us about this and, at the same time, what about their lives could have been done better.
      5. What you would have changed about your parents is part of what you are working on.
      6. Every person begins their spiritual life in a position between their parent's truths. That's why you were born there: to take a higher perspective on what they stood for. Your path is about discovering a truth that is a higher synthesis of what these two people believed.
      7. If you look closely at all the things that have happened to you since birth, if you view your life as one story, you'll be able to see how you have been working on this question all along.

    Sixth insight

    • Getting clear of our family control drama opens the way for us attune to our particular mission in this life.
      1. Each of us must look at the significant turns in our lives and reinterpret them in light of our evolutionary question.
      2. Try to perceive the sequence of interests, important friends, coincidences that have occurred in your life. Where were they leading you?
      3. We must all spend as much time as necessary doing this process of clearing our pasts. Once we transcend our family control drama, we can comprehend the higher meaning of why we were born our particular parents, and what all the twists and turns of our lives were preparing us to do.
    • We all have a spiritual purpose, a mission, that we have been pursuing without being fully aware of it. Once we bring it completely into consciousness, our lives can take off.
    • The truth we pursue on our particular spiritual mission is as important as the evolution of the universe itself, for it enables evolution to continue.
      1. Humans are born into their historical situations and find something to stand for. They form a union with another human being who also has found some purpose.
      2. The children born to this union then reconcile these two positions by pursuing a higher synthesis, guided by coincidences.
      3. Each time we fill up with energy and a coincidence occurs to lead us forward in our lives, we institute this level of energy in ourselves, and so we can exist at a higher vibration.
      4. Our children take our level of vibration and raise it even higher. This is how we, as humans, continue evolution.
    • The current generation is ready to do this consciously and accelerate the process. No matter how scary, there is no longer any choice in this matter. Once you learn what life is about, there is no way to erase the knowledge. If you try to do something else with your life, you will always sense that you are missing something.
    • How to help this process of maintaining one's path:
      1. Insure that your energy level is high by focusing on the unique beauty and shape of everything, especially nature.
      2. Try to experience a feeling of closeness, the feeling that no matter how far away something is, you can touch it, connect with it.
      3. Breathe in this energy by taking deep conscious breaths, holding each about five seconds before exhaling.
      4. Visualize that each breath pulls energy into us and fills us like a balloon; experience becoming lighter and more buoyant.
      5. After you breathe in the energy, check your emotions. Do you feel love? This is the true measure of whether you are really connected. Love is not an intellectual concept or moral imperative. It is a background emotion that exists when one is connected to the energy available in the universe.
      6. Once you are connected with the energy, examine your thoughts.
        • The words you habitually will through your head in an attempt to logically control events stop when you give up your control drama.
        • As you fill up with inner energy, other kinds of thoughts enter your mind from a higher part of yourself. These are intuitions. They appear in the back of your mind, sometimes in a kind of daydream or mini-vision.
      7. When you have acquired enough energy, you are ready to consciously engage evolution, to produce the coincidences that will lead you forward.
        • Remember your basic life question--the one your parents gave you--because this question provides the overall context for your evolution.
        • Next you center yourself on your path by discovering the immediate, smaller questions that currently confront your life.
        • These questions always pertain to your larger question and define where you currently are in your lifelong quest.
        • Once you become conscious of the questions active in the moment, you always get some kind of intuitive direction of what to do, of where to go.
        • The only time this will not occur is when you have the wrong question in mind. The problem in life isn't in receiving answers. The problem is in identifying your current questions. Once you get the questions right, the answers always come.
        • After you get an intuition of what might happen next, the next step is to become very alert and watchful. Sooner or later coincidences will occur to move you in the direction indicated by the intuition.
    • Always remember to stop as often as necessary to reconnect your energy. Stay full, stay in a state of love. Once you achieve this state of love, nothing nor anyone can pull more energy from you than you can replace. But you must stay conscious of this process in order for it to work. This is especially important when you interact with people.

    Seventh insight

    • Certain objects will jump out at us; our thoughts, dreams and daydreams often come to us as guidance.
      1. Dreams can be interpreted by comparing the story of the dream to the story of your life. Bad dreams have the most important messages.
      2. Daydreams show us a scene, a happening, and this is an indication that this event might happen. If we pay attention we can be ready for this turn in our lives.
    • We have many more of these kind of thoughts than we realize. To recognize them we must take an observer position. When a thought comes, we must ask why. Why did this particular thought come now? How does it relate to my life questions? Taking this observer position helps us release our need to control everything. It places us in the flow of evolution.
    • Fear images should be halted as soon as they come. Then another image, one with a good outcome, should be willed through the mind. Soon, negative images will almost never happen; your intuitions will be about positive things.
      1. When negative images come after that, they should be taken very seriously and not followed.
      2. Example: If the idea comes to you that you're going to have a wreck in a truck and someone comes along and offers you a ride in a truck, do not accept it.
    • Build your energy and center yourself in your situation, in the questions you have; you will then receive some form of intuitive guidance, an idea of where to go or what to do, and then coincidences occur to allow us to move in that direction. Each time these coincidences lead us into something new, we grow, we become fuller persons, existing at a higher vibration.
    • We must assume that every event has significance and contains a message that somehow pertains to our questions. This especially applies to what we call bad things. The challenge is to find the silver lining in every event, no matter how negative.

    Eighth insight

    • All the answers that mysteriously come to us really come from other people.
      1. Not all the people you meet will have the energy or the clarity to reveal the message they have for you.
      2. You must help them by sending them energy; consciously projecting energy into a person helps them see their truth. They can then give this truth to you.
    • We must honer this interpersonal ethic and treat others in such a way that more messages are shared. This insight is about using energy in a new way when relating to people in general, but it begins with children.
      1. Children need energy on a continual basis, unconditionally.
      2. The worst thing that can be done to children is to drain their energy while correcting them. This is what creates control dramas.
      3. These learned manipulations can be avoided if the adults give them all the energy they need no matter what the situation.
      4. Children should always be included in conversations, especially about them.
      5. Adults should never take responsibility for more children than they can give attention to.
        • Any one adult can only focus on and give attention to one child at a time.
        • If there are too many children for the number of adults, then the adults become overwhelmed and unable to give enough energy.
        • In this situation, children will begin to compete with each other for the adult's energy and time.
        • Adults often glamorize the idea of large families and children growing up together, but children should learn the world from adults, not from other children. In too many cultures, children are running in gangs.
        • We should not bring children into the world unless there is at least one adult committed to focus full attention, all of the time, on each child.
        • All the energy does not have to come from the parents alone; in fact, it is better if it does not. But whoever cares for the children must provide this one on one attention.
      6. Give children energy and always tell them the truth of every situation in language they can understand. Much damage is done when adults create distortions on the spot because they want to have a little fun, or because they believe the truth is too complicated for a child to comprehend.
      7. When children experience continuous sincere attention, they will assume they will continue to have enough. This makes the transition from receiving energy from adults to getting it from the universe much easier for them to grasp.
  • When one first learns to be clear and to engage one's evolution, any of us can be stopped, suddenly, by an addiction to another person.
    1. When love first happens, the two people are giving each other energy unconsciously and both people feel buoyant and elated: "in love."
    2. Once they expect this feeling to come from the other person, they cut themselves off from the energy in the universe and begin to rely even more on the energy from each other--only now there doesn't seem to be enough.
    3. They will then stop giving each other energy and fall back into their dramas in anvattempt to control each other and force the other's energy their way. At this point the relationship degenerates into the usual power struggle.
    4. Because of the energy competition in families, most of us were unable to complete an important psychological process: integrating our opposite sexual side. We become addicted to someone of the opposite sex in able to access this energy.
    5. The energy of the universe we can tap is both male and female. We can eventually open up to it, but the process takes time. If we connect prematurelyvwith a human source for our female or male energy, we block the universal supply.
    6. Example: We are walking around "incomplete" like the letter C. We are susceptible to a person of the opposite sex who can complete the circle, giving us a burst of euphoria and energy that feels like wholeness that a full connection to the universe produces, a letter O.
      • The problem with this completed person, this O, that both partners think they have reached, is that it has taken two people to make this one whole person.
      • This one whole person consequently has two heads, or egos. Both partners want to run this whole person they have created.
      • Both partners what to command the other, as if the other were themselves. This kind of illusion of completeness always breaks down into a power struggle.
      • In the end, each person must take the other for granted or invalidate them so they can lead this whole self in the direction they want to go.
    7. We must first stabilize our channel with the universe. After we do this we will attract a higher relationship, one that will not pull us from the path of our individual evolution.
  • Resisting "love at first sight" feelings is a good way to avoid this kind of entrapment. Learn to have platonic relationships with the opposite sex.
    1. Have these relationships only with people who will reveal themselves totally, telling you how and why they are doing what they are doing--just as what might have happened with the opposite-sex parent during an ideal childhood.
    2. By understanding who these opposite-sexed friends really are on the inside, one breaks past one's own fantasy projection about that gender, and that releases us to connect again with the universe.
    3. This is not easy, especially if one must break away from a current co-dependent relationship. We are all co-dependent in some way.
    4. The idea is to begin to experience that sense of well-being and euphoria experienced in the first moment of a co-dependent relationship when you are alone. You must get him or her in the inside.
    5. After that, you evolve forward and can find that special romantic relationship that really fits you.
  • How we approach other people determines how quickly we evolve, how quickly our life questions are answered.
    1. How open are you to the messages other people may have for you?
    2. Whenever people cross our paths, there is always a message for us. Chance encounters do not exist. How we respond to these encounters determines whether we're able to receive the message.
    3. If we have a conversation with someone who crosses our path and we do not see a message pertaining to our current questions, it does not mean there was nomessage, it only means we missed it for some reason.
    4. We should stop what we're doing, no matter what, and find out the message we have for that person, and that he person has for us.
    5. Once we grasp this reality, our interactions will slow down and become more purposeful and deliberate.
    6. When you encounter a group of people--too many to engage with all individually--how do you know who has the messages you need? Look for signs:
      • Sudden, spontaneous eye contact is a sign that two people should talk.
      • A sense of recognition, someone who looks familiar, even though you know you've never seen the person before.
      • A person that seems "highlighted."
  • When we appreciate the shape and demeanor of a person--really focus on them until their shape and features being to stand out and have more presence--we can then send them energy, lifting them up.
    1. The more we appreciate their wholeness, their inner beauty, the more the energy flows into them and, naturally, the more that flows into us.
    2. The more we can love and appreciate others, the more energy flows into us.
    3. When you give someone more energy than they would have otherwise, you can see your truth and more readily give it to them. When you do that, they will have a sense of revelation about what you're saying. This will lead them to see your higher self even more fully and so appreciate it on an even deeper level, which amps up the cycle even more.
    4. Two or more people consciously doing this together can reach incredible highs as they build one another up and have it immediately returned.
  • Consciously interacting in a group:
    1. As the members of a group talk, only one will have the most powerful idea at any one point in time.
    2. If they are alert, the others in the group can feel who is about to speak, and then they can consciously focus their energy on this person, helping to bring out their idea with the greatest clarity.
    3. Then, as the conversation proceeds, someone else will have the most powerful idea, then someone else, etc.
    4. If you concentrate on what is being said, you can feel when it is your turn; the idea will come up into your mind.
    5. The key is to speak up when it is your turn and to project energy when it is someone else's turn.
    6. Some people get inflated when in a group: they feel the power of an idea and express it, then because the energy feels so good, they keep on talking, long after the energy should have shifted to someone else.
    7. Others are pulled back and won't risk expressing an idea, even when they feel the power of it. When this happens, the group fragments and the members don't get the benefit of all the messages. The same thing happens when some members of the group are not accepted by some of the others.
      • When we dislike someone, or feel threatened by someone, we tend to focus on something we dislike about the person.
      • When we do this, instead of seeing the deeper beauty of the person and giving them energy, we take energy away and actually do them harm.
      • Humans are aging each other at a tremendous rate with these kinds of violent competitions.
  • What if the person we are speaking with is operating in a control drama and trying to pull us into it?
    1. If you do not assume the matching drama, the person's own drama will fall apart.
    2. Each drama needs a matching drama to be fully played out. Example: an intimidator needs either a poor me or another intimidator.
    3. Naming the drama the other person is playing will usually dissipate it.
      • Control dramas are covert strategies to get energy.
      • Covert manipulations for energy can't exist if you bring them to consciousness by pointing them out. They cease to be covert.
      • After that, the person has to be more real and honest.

    Ninth insight

    • How will human culture change in the next millennium as a result of conscious evolution?
      1. Lost of rainbows and unicorn stuff I didn't feel like copying!
      2. Our destiny is to continue to increase our energy level. As our energy level increases, the level of vibration in the atoms of our bodies increases.
      3. We will get lighter, more purely spiritual.
      4. Whole groups of people, once they reach a certain level, will suddenly become invisible to those who are still vibrating at a lower level. It will appear to the people on this lower level that the others just disappeared, but the groupthemselves will feel as though they are still right here--only they will feel lighter. When humans begin to raise their vibrations to a level where others cannot see them, it will signal that we are crossing the barrier between this life and the other world from which we came and to which we go after death.
      5. This conscious crossing over is the path shown by the Christ. At some point, everyone will vibrate highly enough so that we can walk into heaven, in our same form.
      6. Vanished civilizations, such as the Mayans, accomplished this transfiguration.

    How the Shift Will Happen??

This Article was sent to me by a dear friend.  It was posted in "Spiritual Dynamics Newsletter" and was called "How The Shift Will Happen" by Owen K Waters. This is my personal response to this article.

    Thank you Beloved,
I always read and/or save your emails to be read later. They always have a special message or information that I like to refer to later on or investigate further. Now this one??? It had me going and I wanted to share with you my thoughts on it. I will take some portions of it to demonstrate what I am referring to. So here goes, I hope it don't sound like a rant, but when bells and whistles and flashing lights go off inside of me, I may sound like I am ranting when I attempt to explain why the bells and whistles and flashing lights are going off, so bare with me.

    "How The Shift Will Happen
    by Owen K Waters

The ancient Mayan culture gave us more than the Mayan cosmic cycles. They were an early test case for the process of physical ascension that the entire planet will experience in the near future."

I have found that the 2012 thing went over like a lead balloon. Folks got a little discombobulated when nothing happened and were a little put off by the "prophecies". People wanted to believe this magical all-of-a-sudden transformation was gonna take place. The New Age movement failed to reckon with the fact that transformation takes years, and even centuries in some cases, also, they failed to align the Mayan calendar with other calendars around the world, and they fail to tell the truth about the fact that the so-called end times Mayan calendar prophecy was not what the Mayan Elders were saying but what others interpreted them to be saying, and lastly but not leastly the so-called Mayan Calendar is not what folks believed it to be and certainly did not predict the end of the world, or whatever they were saying. How is it that the Mayan Calendar coincides with a gregorian calendar that has been altered and changed so many times who can really know what day it is? I'm just saying..
"The Mayan civilization thrived up until 830 A.D, yet their astronomical knowledge exceeded today's level of knowledge in many ways. They not only knew the precise orbits of the planets in our solar system, but also the orbits of the stars in our galaxy. They even had cataloged information on major cosmic events going back more than 400 million years. The Mayan calendars are masterpieces which illustrate the repeating time-spirals of cosmic cycles within cycles within cycles. "
What I find interesting in terms of the so-called history of this planet and the interpretation of it is the continuous neglect of the African perspective. I.E. Dogon, the Austrailian Aboriginies and the indigenous folks from Congo and south Africa. Not to mention the "Ancient Chinese secret. I use the I Ching, a book that goes back in time more than 5 thousand years. It's so obviously selfserving. I asked a friend of mine one day, how come they don't include us in all this "Ascension stuff and she said "Cause they ain't thinking about us Ascending with them". Like every other movement, we have to put ourselves in it.

"Then, for the most part, the Mayans suddenly disappeared from their cities, leaving no traces behind as to where they had moved and, yet, left their cooking pots and utensils. There is no sign that they suddenly died from some mysterious ailment and they did not move to another known location. They did not relocate anywhere here on this physical earth. Instead, they moved up a level from our third-density level of existence into fourth density. The solution to the mystery of their disappearance is that they didn't move away; they moved up."

Okay, now this part really got me shaking and rattling and rolling.   How in the world, on God's green earth did these people suddenly disappear without a trace? I know I am a very spiritual person, but I am also practical and I know that when they were talking bout the heavens and the clouds and all that jazz them elders were talking about Ancient Aliens or ET's or whatever you want to call them. People don't vanish when they enter the 4th dimension, in fact if they did we would all vanish when we go to sleep, because that is how we explore 4th, 5th and even 6 dimension/density. sometimes these terms are used interchangebly. But nobody disappears. What you do is gain the ability, psychically to go into those realms and look around and do some stuff if you can. They left their utensils behind cause they didn't need them on the Mothership that came and got them and took them to another planet. Or, they went underground into the deep tunnels where they came from in the first place, cause it was too hard living on the surface of this crazy planet. There are major underground tunnels that go around the whole globe. they retreated back into them. But this whole ascension into 4th density "of the heart" is a rouse. To say the least.

"Fourth density is less dense than our world, but it is still physical. It is also home to the spirit realms or the afterlife. If you were a physical human living in fourth density, you would find it relatively easy to contact people in spirit bodies. They would live in a higher sub-realm of fourth density than you, but you'd both be in the overall fourth-density layer of existence on this planet."

And how do we reach these folks in 4th density spiritual realm, through meditation and contacting the Ancestors. So if we can do that, now, wouldn't it be that we are already in 4th density?? there are certainly realms within realms within realms but we can go there quite easily if we get into the habit of paying attention to our dreams and going into the dream Universe with an open mind, heart and spirit.

"The Mayans engaged in a prototype experiment to ascend from third density to fourth density. They weren't the only test group engaging in such experiments. In New Mexico, for example, the residents of Bandelier and Puye Cliff Dwellings successfully ascended, as did the residents of Machu Picchu in Peru. Those test groups all moved from third density up into fourth density."

Okay, so where did he get this information? Sadly, he is projecting himself as the knower of this phenomenon when he hasn't mentioned that he possibly contacted one of these Mayan in the dream or trance state or even in his own journey into the 4th density. I hope I don't sound like I am ranting, but ranting is good, I get a chance to creatively express myself. LOL

"The ascension that is about to happen on Earth in the near future will be very similar and, yet, it will be different in one major respect. We won't be leaving our old world behind to move into a new one. Our world will ascend along with everything in it, including us."

This sounds like one of two things, or maybe I should say three things.
    1. Folks don't want to die, or are afraid to die cause the only way this planet is gonna shift like that is to shift some folks off of it.
    2. what's the near future, 4k, 5k, 8k years from now?
    3. Folks are materialistic, they want to take their belongings with them so they devise a plan where they can "Ascend" and keep their stuff. That's the biggest ancient myth of all, folks are still doing it today with huge headstones, graveyards, insurance plans and litigation around estates. It's the holding on to this material world that prevents us from "Ascending".
In order to be spiritual we have to understand we are Spiritual beings having a material experience and if we were really uptight, we would just say "be" and everything we need would "be". So this whole, the Earth will go with us is grasping at straws and hoping the Earth will want to go with us the way we been treating it and its inhabitants. Not to mention, the earth that we know is a deep 3rd density illusion. If there is a 4th Density Earth, it ain't material. So if it goes from 3d to 4d, it ain't gonna take a bunch of 3d folks stuck on this planet with their 3d junk. It will quite nicely leave all that weight behind. The Observable Universe is a 3d illusion. Earth is a part of that illusion. When the illusion is re-directed to 4d, all of that which is attached to it will either go with it, or stay with 3d earth. Personally, I interpret that to mean, you either stay on this planet as it is, or go to another Earth type planet that is not so infested with corruption..

"Our entire realm of existence will increase in frequency and move up into a fourth-density frequency band. This time, the cooking pots and utensils won't get left behind; they'll come with us, as will everything else in our reality."

See, that's what I'm talking about. This statement is clear, we need our stuff, so we are gonna create a world full of our stuff. What about homeless people who ain't got nothing but bags of trash, what about poor folks around the world who don't even have a house to live in? Are these ascending folks gonna make sure they are cared for? Did anyone of them mention the less fortunate ones and what their plans are for them with all this Ascension going on?

"When this occurs, people who are alive in physical bodies will experience physical ascension, right after those in the afterlife experience their ascension to a higher sub-realm of fourth density. In fact, they'll vacate the sub-realm into which we'll be moving."

Jeez, I am speechless on this one. Spiritual Scientist.........  Who is giving this guy information on how spirit works? When you die, your soul is re-united or re-engaged into the soul pool so to speak. However the Pool is infinite in size, there's no moving in and moving out. There's no displacement, there is Oneness, remember that one, Oneness??? So each entity has a choice to expand its consciousness; delve into the Oneness; meet old friends etc.  But even that is not what it seems, much of this can be done in the dream state. And again, if it is done in the dream state, then aren't we already delving into 4d on a 3d planet?? Hmmmm??

"The nature of this global ascension was foreseen as long as two millennia ago by St Paul, who even foresaw the sequence of events. He said that, in the twinkling of an eye, the dead shall be raised and we shall be changed. But first, he said, the 'dead' shall rise and then we will be caught up together with them in 'the clouds' (i.e. the higher realms.)"

LOL, as long as 2 millennia ago... St. Paul??? Jeez this person must know nothing about the heiroglyphs and ancient writings, Sumerian texts, Veda, Dogon, Yoruba, Akan, you name it who were all around long before 2k years ago. That is when I really started to twitch cause this stuff is directed towards the Euro-Christian mind set and their ideology. Forget about any other history, though we do feel safe throwing in a bit of Mayan Lore. SMDH, I know, I am ranting but sometimes, it just gets to me. I apologize, well, a little bit anyways. LOL

"So, the 'dead' - the spirits residing in the afterlife - will first rise to a higher sub-realm of their fourth-density existence and then we will be moved up into fourth density."

Holy crap, I can't take it!!!!! This is beyond unbelievable, this is outright lunacy!!!

"This upcoming transformation of our world into fourth density is referred to as the Ascension, the Rapture, the Resurrection, or simply as The Shift. Today, we think of The Shift as the phenomenon where everything is changing very quickly. In the future, however, The Shift will be viewed retrospectively as the day the world suddenly changed, or 'rose in the heavens.'

After The Shift, life will seem much the same overall, but with some quite noticeable upgrades to your capabilities. You will see colors as brighter and prettier than before. Sounds will have a depth of meaning and feeling that you hadn't noticed before. The auras of subtle energy around living things will become much easier to see. Communication will take a step upwards as you will be able to use telepathy to communicate with those to whom you are attuned. Your thoughts and feelings will manifest changes in your reality, as they do now, but these changes will occur more quickly and more obviously than before."

Way to go bro, a little late on this one, folks have already started this process, say maybe about 100 yrs ago. and if you are doing your spiritual work, it's been happening all your life, and they were calling you crazy back then, or a hippy or some zoned out folks when your sensory abilities were amplified, right?
"The Shift to fourth density will occur when the time is right for humanity to handle the experience, which will be when a critical mass is reached in the emerging New Reality consciousness. Fourth density is a heart-centered frequency band of consciousness. When enough people operate in that level of consciousness, then humanity will be ready for The Shift into fourth density."

This is an interesting perspective. When humanity is ready or can "handle" the experience. And who determines who can handle what? In fact, if this guy is planning on shifting he better get in touch with some spirit guides who can tell him what is really happening on this planet. This planet is on a collision course to self destruct. the only way that would stop is if the powers that be realize they "have to make that change" but with their greed, when will that day come. We are all in a sinking boat because just like the critical mass can help it stay afloat, a critical mass can make it sink and take the rest of the solar system with it. So in order for that to be avoided we got choices. Just like the Mayans, we can jump ship and hop on a Mother ship, we can go underground and hide out with our innerterrrestrial family, or we can leave this body. But whatever we do, we will be who we are wherever we are, which is why we have to fix ourselves, cause even the innerterrestrials and the extraterrestrials are not gonna want greedy, hateful people in their town either.

"Percentage-wise, the number of people required to reach the tipping point is small because higher consciousness has proportionately more influence on the global mind atmosphere than the lower frequencies of consciousness.

After the cosmic cycles begin anew in 2012, it became a lot easier than before to promote widespread New Reality consciousness.  (Jeez another slogan!!)Your efforts to change the world through positive thought and action now operate in a positive environment instead of the old, decaying, end-of-cycle environment."

Yep,  and how many of these people with all this positive thought and action business think about speaking to their neighbor or telling Obama to stop dropping bombs on innocent civilians, or home-schooling their children, or giving half of their stuff to somebody who really needs it, or volunteering at the neighborhood senior citizens home or becoming actively involved in the reparation movement. Just saying.

"Every step that you take now to foster heart-centered consciousness within yourself and others affects the global mind atmosphere profoundly. Each step that you take towards New Reality consciousness is a step closer to that tipping point for humanity as a whole.

When the global ascension of The Shift does happen and the New Reality blooms, it will become the most wonderful transformation in recorded history.

It will be long remembered as the time when humanity literally built heaven on earth!"

My final thoughts on this: Ascension does not occur laterally, one layer at a time, upward. There is no up and there is no down, that is all an illusion. It is a perspective, like time that this system works around, and with. Therefore, Ascension can happen in any direction and is more like a ripple effect moving from the center outward like galazies than one step up and up. That type of Ascension creates separation because there is one above and one below therefore the one above is so-called "higher" and the one below is  so called "Lower" both of these perspectives speak not from the heart but speak of discrimination, separation and bias. We are SOUL beings first who have gotten trapped in this 3d reality and are trying to get out. the 3d reality is not one step up or down, it is all around and so our ascension HAS to be all around and touch everything in our lives from the mundane to the profound. If we choose to "let Earth do it for us" then we are still doing the same thing, over and over again, expecting different results, and you know what the definition of that is, right?

So in closing, thanks for sharing, and thanks for reading this if you could get through it all. I can only say, I felt compelled by Spirit to share this with you.
